Mr. Lyman Welton, Principal

Principal Lyman E. Welton holds a Master Degree in Clinical Psychology and Florida Certifications in Educational Leadership, Principalship, Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum, and Exceptional Student Education. With 22 years of dedicated service in secondary education, he brings a wealth of experience to his role. In his 7th year as Principal at Murdock Middle, Principal Welton passionately strives to enhance the lives of students through the power of education fostered within a supportive and positive school environment.

Mr. Jake Monteleone, Assistant Principal

Mr. Jake Monteleone, our Assistant Principal is a CCPS alum and has been in Charlotte County for 31 years now.  He has worked in all areas of education during his interning, as he was a long-term sub at DCES and an intern teacher at PCHS.  However, he has worked his entire professional educational career here at MMS, the same school he attended as a student.  So, he has the unique ability to say that he was a student, teacher, and administrator all at the same school!  He strives to assist as many students as he can on their journey to become better people and create a better world for all!
